EdSignals Studio: 2025 Annual Report

The K-12 marketplace is complex; district leaders constantly sift through vast amounts of information to find evidence of quality around instructional materials. In 2025, EdSignals Studio focused on increasing the availability of this evidence to improve decision-making across K-12 education. In this report, we outline structural and behavioral levers for classroom impact, uncovered through our collaborations with curriculum reviewers, district leaders, EdTech vendors, and more.

The 2025 Annual Report explores three key themes:
    • Evidence of quality for instructional materials must be contextual and credible. District leaders adopt High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) when there are relevant, trustworthy, and actionable signals of quality; highlighting social proof, information on implementation, and evidence of student outcomes is of utmost importance.
    • Information delivery drives adoption. How information is delivered signficantly affects whether it is used; meaningful interactivity and co-creation narratives can support uptake.
    • Educational intermediaries enable scaled impact. Intermediaries accelerate systemic change with their extended reach and credibility; relationship-building with these entities is an overlooked strategy for improving the adoption of HQIM.
